Britská skupina Marillion patří k nejznámějším představitelům progresivního rocku. Kapela vznikla v roce 1979 a stala se pojítkem mezi postpunkovou vlnou a progressive rockovou scénou. V osmdesátých letech se stala komerčně nejúspěšnějčí neoprog rockovou formací! Dráhu Marillion lze rozdělit na dvě etapy – před a po roce 1988, kdy skupinu opustil původní frontman Derek William Dick zvaný Fish.
